The packaging of your helmet contains an explanatory note showing you the 3 very simple and very quick successive steps to follow to achieve this.
Unfolding and folding is intuitive and only takes a few seconds.
Before using it, remember to lock your helmet securely in the unfolded position. To be sure, you will need to hear the “click” sound that completes the last step.
The Plixi folding bicycle helmet is made of an external shell in ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) which has the property of having good impact resistance, of being relatively rigid while being light.
The internal shell of the folding helmet is made of EPS (expanded polystyrene) which has the advantage of being both rigid and low density.
The assembly allows the bicycle helmet to be solid while limiting the weight of the assembly. So the helmet in its SM size is only 440g compared to 490g for the L-XL size.
An adjustable occipital support system also ensures that the bicycle helmet is held securely at the neck. This ensures that the helmet will remain in the optimal position in the event of a possible impact.

The Plixi folding bicycle helmet offers the level of protection required by American CPSC and European CE EN1078 standards.
The primary purpose of a bicycle helmet is to protect its user. Unfortunately, sometimes our customers are victims of road accidents; a bus that blocks you against a sidewalk, a refusal of priority by a motorist that sends you to the ground... The Plixi has already saved a certain number of lives or injuries. Several customers have so far been able to show us their gratitude and the effectiveness of our helmet.
Warning: We draw your attention to the fact that it is imperative to change your bicycle helmet (regardless of the brand) after a fall or when the helmet has suffered a violent impact. It may have been weakened and no longer offer the initial level of protection for which it is approved. It is also commonly recommended to change your helmet after 5 years.
The Plixi is an urban bike helmet that is ideal for cyclists who own electrically assisted bicycles (VAE).
However, the speed of these VAEs must not exceed 25km/h. In fact, EN1078 approval applies up to this limit.
Our helmet is therefore not approved for Speed Bike users, which are sometimes also called VAE45, S-pedelec or even Speed-pedelec. The speed of these fast electrically assisted bikes is limited to 45 km/h. The standard for Speed Bike helmets is then ECE2205.
The Plixi bicycle helmet is certainly a city bicycle helmet but it is also an urban women's bicycle helmet. In addition to its practical aspect already mentioned, our bike helmet gives you the comfort you expect thanks to its internal protective foams of varying thickness. This also allows you to limit the impact of wearing a helmet on your hairstyle, for people with long hair, while maintaining good support. In addition, the helmet is light. It can therefore be worn without difficulty for a long period of time.
