We seriously wondered if we should participate in Black Friday.
This operation generates overconsumption. We often buy impulsively during this period, attracted by bargains and not because we need them.
The other scandal of Black Friday is that a lot of brands don't play the game. They manufacture specific products for this period: cheaper to produce, to be able to offer low, falsely broken prices. These poor quality products, bought compulsively, are quickly abandoned and viennent s'ajouter aux piles de déchets that we don't already know what to do with.
At Urban Circus, the development time of a product is 2 years on average. To develop products only for a sales period, it's not likely to happen to us, we don't know how to do it.
So when we sell our products, they are our real and unique products, the ones we are proud of, in which we have put all our technology and know-how. And it's directly the margin we use to develop these products and support our team that is impacted by these promotions.
And on the buyer's side, as is often the case, it's not all black and white.
Black Friday is also an opportunity for some to access products they can't usually afford. We know this because some people have been writing to us for several months to talk about it.
At Urban Circus, our vocation is to allow everyone to get hold of their bikes and scooters and use them as a means of daily locomotion.
It is important to us to be accessible to all.
This is why we have decided to offer 3 categories of discounts on our products, during 3 days. This seemed to us to be a balanced offer for you and for us.
It is therefore a "Real" Black Friday. That is to say a real discount, on real products, for a short and limited period of time.. ❤️️
